This art piece was created over a period for a module in my game development course. I started out by creating an arcade scene that is inspired by rotting away buildings. I wanted to make the scene more interactive, so I added the sun's beam to give the image more.
Arcade Scene
I created this arcade scene using 3ds Max to model the assets, Substance Painter and Photoshop to create the textures and Unreal Engine 5 to create the scene and render out the image. This took around 2 months to complete, in this time I learnt a new software, 3ds Max and improved my skills in Substance Painter and Unreal.
Arcade Cabinet
This arcade cabinet comes with multiple textures, so I did not need to create more meshes. It has one joystick and two buttons.
Drink Machine
This drink machine features some glass and allows me to put some rubbish inside such as the glass bottles.
Stool
This stool has two textures: a red and a more damaged blue variation. This allows for the same model to be used like the arcade cabinet, but have more variations.
Soft Toy
This soft toy was my weakness as it had to be below 500 triangles, but I think I did okay making it look damaged and abandoned.
Rubbish
This arcade cabinet comes with multiple textures, so I did not need to create more meshes. It has one joystick and two buttons.
Poster
The poster in Unreal allows for adding a rip and different textures so one mesh can be used for multiple different looks to the posters.
